As hunters and shooters ourselves, we know the importance of having reliable gear. That’s why when it comes to shooting we always look for the best thermal scope accessories to maximize range and accuracy.

Gear like mounts & bases, rangefinders & batteries/chargers or even tripods can elevate your skills. We’ve created this comprehensive accessory guide to help you send your best shot down range.

Battery and Power Accessories

Experienced hunters know that having a reliable power source is a must-have. Especially for long days in the wild. Here’s where we turn to battery and power accessories. To prolong battery life some scopes are compatible with battery extenders. The iRay Mini Series Battery Extender enables you to insert a larger battery into the small but powerful iRay Mini thermal monocular.

If extenders aren’t an option make sure you invest in multiple batteries. Thermal weapon sights like the RICO MK1 come with a removable and rechargeable IBP-1 4400 mAh lithium-ion battery. But you can buy an extra one to extend your time outdoors.

External power banks like the Pulsar PB8I Power Bank are compatible with scopes that can be powered with a mini USB plug. This one in particular can be mounted to your rifle and can power some thermals up to 20 hours on a single charge. Works well with the Helion 2 XQ thermal monocular.

For peak performance, stick with manufacturer-approved products that are tailored to fit your setup.

Rangefinders

For today’s hunter, a rangefinder is key to modernizing your kit. Rangefinders provide you with an instant range of your target’s distance, allowing you to make quick adjustments with ease and accuracy. To get the most out of your setup, look for small and lightweight models that are compatible with your thermal scope. Take the ILR-1000 Laser Rangefinder for example. Made for the RICO Mk1 this accessory can accurately estimate range up to 1,000 feet.

Lastly, when it comes to rangefinders don’t forget to calibrate it properly before each use. From inexpensive models up through high-end designs, there’s sure to be one perfect for you in every budget range.

Scope and Lens covers, Cases

Keep your thermal scope optics and electronics in peak condition with a durable protective cover that can withstand dirt, dust, and moisture – plus minimize heat exposure. The Trijicon IR-HUNTER Compact Carrying Case in black is made just for that.

Also, consider ergonomic eye guards provide extra protection to reduce fatigue when spying on targets over extended periods of time – all while ensuring an unimpeded view.

Mounts

A reliable scope mount is a must-have when it comes to keeping your thermal sights zeroed and stable. But not all are created equal; there’s an entire market of various sizes, fits, release styles — the list goes on. And don’t forget about rail compatibility.

The NOX Thermal J-Arm Adapter is perfect for helmet-mounted NVGs. This mount is designed to be shifted from your left to right eye or swiveled up when you don’t need it.

Then we have quick-release mounts like the ADM-RQD Quick Release Mount for the RICO Mk1, RICO Bravo, and RICO Alpha. These are great if you need to change out scopes frequently.

Two popular systems out there are picatinny & weaver – if yours isn’t compatible with either one you can buy adaptors so that just means more options for customizing exactly what works best for your setup. Secure accuracy starts by knowing which mounting system will keep up no matter where or how fast things start moving.

Helmets

A properly fitted helmet will keep your head protected while moving through the woods at night. The Team Wendy EXFIL LTP Bump Helmet Rail 3.0 comes with built-in mounts for night vision. Helmet mounts keep your hands free so you can handle your rifle instead, and your arm won’t get tired from holding it up.
