High Definition 1024x768 Thermal Images
The high definition thermal image captured by the new 1024x768 thermal sensor in the Thermion 2 LRF XL50 is full of rich detail ideal for uncompromised trophy identification. The silhouettes, anatomy and behavioral characteristics of the animal are clearly visible and easily distinguished.
Extreme Image Detail on High Zoom
Variable 1.75–14x magnification (x8 digital zoom) provides improved focus and better overall recognition. A high level of image detail is maintained across the whole magnification range. The zoom changes either gradually in 2x step or continuously for a customized FOV / magnification ratio for each specific situation.
Precision Long Range Aiming
The Thermion 2 LRF XL50 ensures accurate shooting. The Picture-in-Picture function enables display of a high-precision zeroing frame. Taking only 10% of the total display area, the PiP frame shows a magnified image of the target and reticle, and allows the user to closely see the image in the aiming area while still having visual control of the entire field of view. The built-in laser rangefinder provides a precise distance to the target, and the sophisticated internal ballistics algorithm calculates the suggested POA for accurate long-range shooting. Simply create a ballistic profile for your rifle and upload it with the Stream Vision Ballistics app.
See More of the Field in HD Quality
The Thermion 2 LRF XL50 provides a wide field of view for easy scanning and spotting. Explore landscapes in HD quality with the best-in-class 14-degree wide field of view on the base magnification. Due to the large-format sensor, you’ll be able to maintain the optimal field of view / magnification ratio even at high zoom levels up to 14x.
Premium HD Class Germanium Optics
For a clear and detailed image across the field of view, the Thermion 2 LRF XL50 employs germanium F50/1.0 objective lens. The use of aspherical lenses and diffractive optical elements maintains a high aperture ratio with the capability of sharp and precise image projection across the entire sensor area. The objective lens features an internal focusing mechanism and gives a clear and sharp image at any range. Ergonomic focusing wheels are located on the right and left sides, making focusing easy with either hand.
Breakthrough Image Processing
The pixel-to-pixel image transfer from the thermal sensor to the 1024x768 HD AMOLED display results in an image as sharp as possible. Adjustable sensor sensitivity amplification combined with new filtration algorithms and fine brightness/contrast adjustments provide clear observation details in diverse weather and temperature conditions. The amplification setting helps define the animal’s trophy features and ensures clear rendering of objects and background in the field of view.
Customizable User Mode for Individual Image Adjustment
The brightness and contrast adjustments help maximize the detail and informative value of the thermal image in specific observation conditions. The User Mode function saves selected brightness and contrast settings in the device's memory providing optimal image quality for the next use of the thermal imager, with no additional adjustments needed.
Flexible Set of Color Palettes
The1024x768 HD AMOLED display features enhanced color rendering, power savings, and a quick response, high contrast image. Thermal images are clear and smooth during on-the-move observation or in cold conditions. A choice of 8 color palettes optimizes the thermal image for specific tasks in various observation conditions. White Hot, Black Hot, and Red Hot are optimal for object detection. Rainbow and Ultramarine aid with recognition and identification. Red Monochrome, Sepia, and Violet are suited to long observation in the night.
10 Shooting Profiles / 100 Zeroing Distances
Zeroing settings are saved in a shooting profile. The Thermion 2 LRF XL50 memory contains up to 10 shooting profiles for several types of weapons or cartridges. Each profile holds up to 10 zeroing distances that are input manually, but can be transformed for automatic ballistic calculations based on measured distance using the Stream Vision Ballistics app.
10 Reticle Shapes in 9 Color Modes
A reticle is electronically displayed in the same plane as the target. The Thermion 2 LRF XL50 memory contains ten reticle configurations and functions (direct shot type, ballistic, scalable, and regular), all available in nine colors.
64 GB of Video and Photos
One touch of a button is enough to capture an interesting moment or start recording a video. 64 GB of internal memory gives the ability to record many hours of video and tens of thousands of photos.
Stream to iOS and Android
The built-in Wi-Fi module with a dual 2.4 / 5 GHz waveband support connects the Thermion 2 LRF XL50 with smartphones via the Stream Vision 2 app. Features include wireless updating, transmission of images to a mobile screen in real time, remote control, and more. Registered users receive cloud storage space for photos and videos shot with the Thermion 2 LRF XL50.
Wireless Remote Control Included
The included Pulsar BT wireless remote control completely duplicates the regular buttons. The remote control buttons activate the most used functions, while rotating or pressing the encoder operates fine adjustment and menu navigation. The design, size, and positioning of the buttons and encoder are customized for use with either hand, bare or gloved. Minimal operational movements help preserve concentration on the field of view and target. The remote can be placed in any convenient position on the fore-end or rifle butt.
Combined Dual Battery System
The Thermion 2 LRF XL50 is powered with two rechargeable batteries: one built-in with a capacity of 4.9 A·h, and the other replaceable. The standard package supply includes replaceable batteries of 2A·h and 3.2 A·h capacity. A single charge guarantees up to 10 hours of continuous operating time. The embossing on the body of the replaceable batteries enables accurate determination of the correct orientation and makes swapping batteries quick and easy in complete darkness by touch alone.
Mounts on Standard 30 mm Rings
The Thermion 2 LRF XL50 offers visual aesthetics on any hunting weapon. From the outside the riflescope resembles a classic day sight in a 30mm aluminum alloy housing. This form factor provides flexibility for mounting the scope with familiar ring solutions.
The Thermion 2 LRF XL50 is highly impact resistant and can be used with rifled hunting weapons with calibers of 9.3x64, .30-06, .300, .375H&H, etc., as well as with smooth-bore and pneumatic weapons.
Wide Range of Operating Temperatures
The Thermion 2 LRF XL50F operates reliably in temperatures from -13° to 122° F. The frost-resistant AMOLED display has a standout quick response time and ensures a sharp image when observed in motion.
IPX7 Waterproof Rated
With an IPX7 waterproof rating, the Thermion 2 LRF XL50 works in conditions of high humidity and heavy rain and can withstand half an hour of immersion in three feet of water.
