Classic design. Compact size
The Pulsar Merger LRF XP50 Thermal Binocular is built with the classic design of daytime binoculars. With a small form factor, these thermal imaging binoculars fit comfortably in the hand, but still offer appealing external aesthetics and exemplary ergonomics. The six function buttons are placed in the comfort access zone, and the most used digital device functions are activated with a single touch.
Comfortable viewing experience
The binocular design accommodates the nature of human vision. It is natural to receive visual information through two visual channels (eyes) simultaneously. Viewing with two eyes is less tiring than viewing with one. This means better detection of small or faint objects, and better performance in low-contrast scenarios, than with comparable thermal imaging monoculars. The interpupillary distance in the Merger LRF binoculars is adjustable from 62 to 74 mm to adapt to each individual user.
Precise laser rangefinder
Knowing the target distance is essential to making good decisions. A built-in laser rangefinder with a range of over 1000 yards allows you to measure distances in single measurements or continuous scanning mode with an accuracy of ± 1 yard.
High definition thermal imaging sensor with 640×480 pixel @ < 25 mK NETD sensor
A highly sensitivity (<25 mK) sensor with 640×480 resolution captures slight temperature differences, even in conditions of low temperature contrast, as well as during rain or fog. Reliably identify the target with good visualization of important anatomical features and the physical details of the surrounding landscape.
Fast aperture F50/1.0 germanium lens
High quality optics play a big role in the ability to capture even the smallest temperature differences. The fast aperture F50/1.0 lens perfectly complements the highly sensitive thermal sensor to give users the best quality, most detailed, and high-contrast imagery, even during rain or fog or whenever temperature contrast is minimal.
Latest image processing algorithms
Advanced image processing algorithms also contribute to precise imaging in varying and adverse viewing conditions. The Merger LRF presents the user with a new level of clear and noise-free imaging for crisp object details with improved contrast.
Up to 10 hours operation from 2 independent batteries
The Merger LRF is powered with two rechargeable batteries: one built-in with a capacity of 4 Ah, the other replaceable with a capacity of 3.2 Ah. A single charge of both batteries guarantees up to 10 hours of continuous operation. The body design enables quick and confident battery swapping by touch in complete darkness.
Long detection range
A powerful long-distance objective lens combined with a 640×480@17µm highly-sensitive thermal imaging sensor provides exceptional detection capabilities. A standard 6-foot tall object can be detected up to 1968 yards away in complete darkness.
2.5х–20x variable magnification
Digital zoom, up to 8x, provides improved focus and better overall object recognition at significant distances. The zoom changes either gradually in 2x steps or continuously for a truly optimum, customized field of view.
High-quality reinforced magnesium alloy housing
Merger LRF is designed for constant, often hard use. Its magnesium alloy housing is both light and strong. The housing reliably protects the internal components from shocks, drops, moisture, heat, or cold. At the same time, the housing effectively helps dissipate heat from electronics, which enhances consistency during long-term observation.
Built-in photo and video recorder
The internal memory of Merger LRF can store hours of video and tens of thousands of photos. One touch of a button is enough to take a photo of an interesting scene or start recording video. The imagery cam be copied to a computer hard drive via the USB-C port. Merger LRF also comes with 16 GB of free cloud storage. Simply install the Stream Vision 2 mobile application, log in, and connect via Wi-Fi.
Stream Vision 2. Wi-Fi integration with iOS and Android devices
Built-in Wi-Fi connects the Merger LRF to Android and iOS devices via the Stream Vision 2 mobile app. This enables wireless software updates, real-time image transmission to the smartphone screen, transfer of photos and video or publication on social media, remote operation of Merger LRF, and access to the latest news from Pulsar.
Improved Wi-Fi connectivity with 2.4 / 5 GHZ waveband support
Merger LRF provides both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz connection frequencies for Wi-Fi. The first is the standard smartphone frequency; the 5 GHz connection offers better bandwidth, a faster data transfer rate, noise immunity, and improved connection stability.
High-contrast HD AMOLED displays
A pair of HD AMOLED displays deliver a crisp, richly contrasted, vividly colored field of view. The AMOLED technology ensures a flawless, fluid, high-resolution image, along with power efficiency.
A selection of 8 color palettes
A choice of 8 color palettes is provided to optimize the display for specific tasks, as well as react to changing observation conditions. White Hot, Black Hot, and Red Hot are optimal for object detection. Rainbow and Ultramarine help increase chances for recognition and identification. Red Monochrome, Sepia, and Violet are most suitable for long observation in the night.
IPX7 Fully Waterproof
Merger LRF binoculars are IPX7 waterproof-rated for protection from heavy rainfall, snow, or other precipitation. The unit is designed to run flawlessly, even after submersion in up to 1 meter of water for up to 30 minutes..
Wide range of operating temperatures
The housing, power unit, optics, and electronics of Merger LRF are designed for operation in a wide range of temperatures including freezing cold down to -13° F.
