Classic, Compact Design
Merger LRF thermal imaging binoculars are built with the classic design of daytime binoculars. With a small form factor, these thermal imaging binoculars fit comfortably in the hand, but still offer appealing external aesthetics and exemplary ergonomics. The six function buttons are placed in the comfort access zone, and the most used functions are activated with a single touch.

Comfortable Viewing Experience
Merger LRF binoculars are designed around the nature of human vision. It is natural for a person to receive visual information through two visual channels simultaneously. Viewing with two eyes is less tiring than viewing with one. This means better detection of small or faint objects and better performance in low-contrast scenarios than with comparable monocular thermal imaging devices. The interpupillary distance in Merger LRF binoculars is adjustable from 62 to 74 mm.

Long, Longer, and Extra Long Detection Range
Powerful objective lenses in combination with the advanced sensor and HD display in the Merger LRF provide exceptional detection capabilities. A standard 6-foot tall object can be detected in complete darkness at 1500 yards with the XQ35, 2000 yards with the XP50, and 2500 yards with the XL50.

Precise Laser Rangefinder
Understanding target distance is an essential to making good decisions. A built-in laser rangefinder with a range over 1000 yards allows you to measure distances in single measurements and continuous scanning modes with an accuracy of ±1 meters for quick and error-free assessment of the situation.

Highly Sensitive Thermal Imaging
Merger LRF thermal binoculars are built around high performance thermal sensors that capture quality images even under adverse conditions, when thermal contrast is low. The XQ35 sensor has 384x288 resolution, 17 µm pixel pitch, and <25 mK sensitivity. The XP50 is 640x480, 17 µm <25 mK. The XL50 is an astonishing 1024x768, 12 µm, <40 mK.

Advanced Image Processing Algorithms
Merger LRF thermal binoculars are equipped with advanced image processing algorithms that show their effectiveness under different weather conditions and device operation scenarios. With the Merger LRF eyepieces, the user receives a new level of clear and noise-free imaging, with increased object details and improved contrast.

Three Levels of Sensitivity Amplification
Selection of the signal amplification level combined with new filtration algorithms with fine brightness and contrast adjustments offers the hunter great opportunities for long-range observation in diverse weather and temperature conditions. Amplification setting helps to define animal’s trophy features and ensures clear rendering of objects and background in the field of view.

Variable Magnification with Digital Zoom
Digital zoom provides improved focus and better overall object recognition at significant distances. The zoom changes either gradually in 2x steps or continuously for a truly optimum, customized field of view for specific situations. Digital zoom is up to 4x with the XQ35, which features variable magnification from 3x–12x, and up to 8x with the XP50 and XL50, for 2.5x–20x variable magnification. The 1024x768 sensor of the XL50 maintains a high level of detail over the entire magnification range.

Merger LRF XL50: Wide Field of View
The XL50 also offers a wide field of view for easy scanning and spotting. Explore landscapes in HD-quality with a wide 14 degrees FOV and optimal 2.5x magnification. The large format sensor delivers best-in-class FOV/magnification ratios even on high zoom levels. It is ideal for uncompromised trophy identification. Silhouettes, anatomy, and behavioral peculiarities of the animal are clearly visible and distinguishable.

Fast Aperture Germanium Lens
The characteristics of thermal imaging optics have a decisive influence on a thermal imager’s ability to capture even the lowest radiation levels. The Merger LRF germanium lens features high infrared transmission in the LWIR range. The XQ35 uses a fast F35/1.0 lens. The XP50 and XL50 use a fast F50/1.0 lens. High precision manufacturing of the optical elements of the lens is a big reason that the image generated by the Merger LRF is distinguished for clarity and detailing.

High-Contrast HD AMOLED Displays
HD AMOLED displays deliver a crisp, richly contrasted, vividly colored field of view at 1024x768 resolution. AMOLED technology ensures a flawless, fluid, high-resolution image, along with power saving.

A Selection of 8 Color Palettes
A choice of 8 color palettes lets the user observe the field of view more effectively. They can optimize the Merger LRF for specific tasks, then react to changing observation conditions. White Hot, Black Hot, and Red Hot are optimal for object detection, Rainbow and Ultramarine can help with recognition and identification. Red Monochrome, Sepia, and Violet are most suitable for long observation in the night.

User Mode
Brightness and contrast adjustments maximize detail in specific observation conditions. The User Mode function saves selected brightness and contrast settings in the device's memory providing optimal image quality for the next use of the thermal imager immediately, with no additional adjustments needed.

Proximity Sensor for Covert Use
Observation in the dark requires being covert, so that hunted animals are not alerted by your presence. Going to stand-by mode by using the Display Off feature is the usual way to prevent backlight escaping through the eyepieces, but the Merger LRF also has a built-in proximity sensor which acts as a display switch. When the Merger LRF is taken away from the eyes, the proximity sensor switches both displays off. Bringing the Merger LRF closer to the eyes turns the displays on again.

Built-in Photo and Video Recorder
Merger LRF thermal binoculars have a built-in video recorder. Internal memory can store hours of video and tens of thousands of photos. One touch of a button is enough to take a photo of an interesting scene or start recording video. The Merger LRF owner has a free 16 GB of space in Pulsar’s cloud storage for photos and videos captured with the Merger LRF. Simply install the Stream Vision 2 mobile application, log in, and connect the device with a smartphone via Wi-Fi. The footage can also be copied to external devices via the USB-C port.

Stream Vision 2 App via Wi-Fi
Built-in Wi-Fi connects the Merger LRF to Android and iOS smartphones via the Stream Vision 2 mobile app. This enables wireless software updates, real-time image transmission to a smartphone screens, publication on social media, transfer to messengers, remote control of the Merger LRF, and access to the latest news from Pulsar.

Dual Wi-Fi Waveband Support 2.4 / 5 GHz
Merger LRF thermal binoculars connect with Wi-Fi at 2.4 GHz (the standard smartphone frequency range) or at 5 GHz. The 5 GHz connection offers better bandwidth, a faster data transfer rate, noise immunity, and improved connection stability.

Combined Dual Battery System
Merger LRF thermal binoculars are powered with two rechargeable batteries: one built-in with a capacity of 4 Ah, the other replaceable with a capacity of 3.2 Ah. A single charge guarantees long battery life. The tactile embossment on the body of the replaceable battery makes it easy to quickly and confidently replace the battery in complete darkness by touch.

Rugged Magnesium Alloy Housing
Merger LRF thermal binoculars are designed for constant, often hard use. The magnesium alloy housing is is both light and strong at the same time. It reliably protects the internal components of the thermal binoculars from shocks, drops, moisture, heat, and cold. At the same time, the metal housing effectively removes heat from electronics and helps ensure consistent operation during long-term observation.

IPX7 Submersion Waterproof Rated
Merger LRF is IPX7 waterproof-rated for protection from heavy rainfall, snow, and other inclement conditions, including submersion in up to 1 meter of water for up to 30 minutes.

Operation in Extreme Temperatures
The housing, power unit, optics, and electronics of Merger LRF operate flawlessly over a wide range of temperatures, from -13 to +122° F.
