A Step Forward in Thermal Imaging
The Helion family of thermal imaging scopes from Pulsar is a step forward in thermal imaging. Helion scopes feature imaging resolution of up to 640×480 resolution with 17 micron pixel pitch for crisp images and video. The 50 Hz frame rate produces a steady image even during rapid motion. Selectable color palettes help reveal image detail. An integrated video recorder captures what the thermal imager sees, and the video can be displayed in real time on smart phones and streamed to YouTube. Helion scopes are rugged and waterproof, and standard 8–10 hour battery packs can be swapped in seconds.
Stream Vision: Real Time Viewing, Remote Control, and Live Internet Streaming
Link via Wi-Fi to Android and iOS devices, including smart phones and tablets, using the Stream Vision app. This free app adds powerful abilities to the Helion family of thermal scopes:
- Comfortable, fatigue-free, streaming field-of-view displayed on wireless devices in real time.
- Use your smartphone or tablet as an additional remote control.
- Content management: view, delete, and download photo and video files (when stored in the device’s onboard memory).
- Transmit images and videos directly to YouTube or other storage or video platforms.
- Share video content with more publishing platforms; enter ballistic calculator information into the device; and record with motion-detector video activation.
IPX7 Rating: Fully Waterproof
IPX7 waterproof-rated protection ensures Helion thermal imaging scopes perform perfectly in wet weather, even during intense rain, snowfall, and submersion in 3 feet of water for up to 30 minutes. (IEC 60429)
Helion models include variable magnification, up to 8x depending on model, and feature both 2x step-up and smooth, graduated magnification for a truly optimum, customized field of view.

The ergonomic, wireless remote control, with encoder wheel, puts the full range of Helion capabilities at your fingertips for comfortable, convenient, hands-off operation.
Custom Color Modes
In addition to user-favorite “white hot” and “black hot” imaging, Helion scopes offer a robust array of eight color palettes for true colorized temperature mapping. Transitioning from color to default “white hot” during operation is also fast and easy.
Detects up to 2000 Yards Away
Depending on model, the Helion is capable of detecting an average human-size target, dressed in outerwear, against a forest backdrop, at a range up to 2000 yards.
Wide Range of Operating Temperature
With a frost-resistant AMOLED display, the Helion Thermal Imaging Scope is designed to deliver flawless performance at an extreme temperature range of -13° F to 122° F.
Built-In Video Recorder
Capturing still images and video is seamless with the Helion’s built-in video recorder. Image and video content is stored internally and can easily be transferred to PC/laptop via wired connection or wirelessly to your smartphone or tablet with the iOS and Android compatible Stream Vision app.
Effective Temperature Sensor Stabilization
A heat sink, located on the device’s body, effectively prevents heat build-up from the sensor and other components while also significantly reducing temperature and noise sensitivity, especially between calibrations.
High Image Frequency
At a high refresh rate of 50 Hz, the Helion provides comfortable viewing, even during dynamic, rapid motion.
Based on estimated heights of observed objects, the stadiametric rangefinding reticle makes determining precise distances fast, easy, reliable, and repeatable.
B-Pack Power Supply
Helion includes a progressive autonomous B-Pack power supply consisting of a quick-detach, rechargeable IPS5, 5.2 A-h battery pack designed to deliver over eight hours of operation on maximum mode. Higher powered IPS10 battery packs, as well as CR123A and AA battery cases, are also available and provide a perfect off-the-grid power solution.
The Helion XP boasts an uncooled, 640×480 pixel micro-bolometric matrix, at 17 microns, for highly detailed imaging.
User Friendly Interface
The Helion is designed with ease-of-operation in mind. User feedback has resulted in the most friendly interface to date, complete with an easy-to-read, icon-driven, alphanumeric status bar at the bottom of the display. Internal menu items and options are also displayed on a contrasting gradient substrate so you can keep an eye on settings without losing sight of your objective.
During short periods of inactivity and for better concealment, Display Off powers down the display without interrupting other operating functions. Using Display Off also means a much faster restart when you need it most.
